Festivals are always interesting to be visited and seen. There are a lot of festivals being held in every year in every part of the world and Indonesia has its own kind of festivals to be enjoyed. Indonesia has various places those will serve the different kind of festivals from the art and cultural festivals, music festivals, food and cuisine festivals, religious festivals and a lot others. Religious Related Festivals
There are quite a lot of festivals or events those will be related with religions. Amongst so many festivals, there are two those might be really attractive to be seen. Galungan is amongst the attractive feasts or festivals related with religions or belief that will be interesting to be seen. This is an important celebration of the Balinese Hindus in order to honor the creator of the universe. This celebration will be held in every twice in a year. The next Galungan in 2013 will be held in October 23rd to November 2nd. Guests cannot involve themselves to the activities but they can watch and experience the unique atmosphere.
The other festival that will be held soon is Waisak or Vesak. This one will be held in central Java in the largest Buddhist monument, Borobudur. In the year 2013, Waisak will be held in May 25th. In this ceremony, there will be a journey centered in three temples. The journey will be started in Mendut to Pawon and then ended in Borobudur temple. Thousands of Buddhist monks will be participating in the journey along with pilgrims. Guests who are not part of festivities are allowed to watch ceremony but are not allowed to climb Borobudur. Going with a rented car will be recommended to enjoy the festival more.
Cultural and Tourism Festivals
The cultural related festivals or events will be very interesting. What about the mock tribal battle of three tribes in Baliem Valley in Papua. Baliem Valley is the one of the most populated valley in Papua. It is located in Jayawijaya Mountains and will welcome the visitors who come to see the festival. The festival this year will be held in August 12th to 15th. Mock tribal battle is just one from other things those can be seen in the festivals. For the visitors who wish to see the festival, it is better to get a travel agency arranged the trip.
If a traveler wishes to see the more accessible festival, he or she can go to Bali and see Sanur Village Festival. This is an annual event that will always be held in order to attract more tourists. Sanur might be a familiar beach and atmosphere for a lot of people. The event will be about marine life and will include the water sports activities as well as the water adventure. There will also be performances of the traditional dances and music as well as the traditional food stalls.
