Gili Trawangan is the biggest islands amongst two other small islands (usually referred as “Gili”) in Lombok. Gili Trawangan is now a world-class attraction, following the title of the fourth world’s best island in Asia, which is given by TripAdvisor. Gili Trawangan visited at least 1,200 tourists every day. It is easy to reach Gili Trawangan. Noted there are 17 times of cruise ship trip taken a route from Bali to Gili Trawangan each day.

Location

Located in West Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Barat), Gili Trawangan has a length of 3 km and a width of 2 km. Trawangan has a population of about 800 people. Among the three Gili, Trawangan had has the most complete facilities for tourists.

Entrance Fee

There isn’t entrance fee, but perhaps tourist need to pay in as much IDR 40,000 if following such an activity as Gili Eco Tourist.

Street Location to Direction

There are various way to get to Gili Trawangan from Lombok island, but we to use the Yag boat from the Bangsal harbor. To reach the harbor, you need to hire Taxi from Selaparang Airport, Lombok. The taxi is going to cost you in around IDR 100,000. In Bangsal harbor, there is official charter boat service which is about to cost you in around IDR 350,000 for round-trip (or about IDR 185,000 for 1 way).

Do and Don’ts

Perhaps there are no strict restrictions for tourists who are visiting Gili Terawangan. However, it should be remembered to keep the cleanliness in main tourist area, this is the first obligation that must be remembered.
